#EmbraceEquity

For International Women’s Day this week, we were able to highlight some of your experiences of Empowering Women. It was great to be able to cheer for all women in local public services. And for our immediate past president, Sam Smith, in particular.

Join the alumnae and take time for yourself with Empowering Women.

Can you help us with a survey for and about you?

For many years a “service user” was synonymous with an office-based employee. Recently, some User Survey participants have reported a rise in other types – particularly pupils within schools.

We’d like to explore what effect these changes are having on the service provided.

Even if you don’t support any education services, your response will provide valuable context.

2023’s Mentoring Programme is open

Register your interest with the training team. You are welcome to volunteer as mentor or mentee. There’s plenty to gain from both sides of the relationship.

Setting us up and sending us on this journey is guest coach and mentor Zoe Lewis.

In conversation with Aidan Matthews, on Tuesday 28 March, Zoe will share her deep knowledge and insights into the things that make a mentoring relationship successful, pitfalls to avoid and the rewards that can be gained.

Top Talent and Empowering Women return next month – both will hold their final sessions and presentations at Presidents’ Conference (in Brighton). All conference audiences are supportive, but you will have the opportunity to make plenty of connections and network with colleagues in the public and private sectors.

If there a colleague who join one of these programmes? Let us know.

How was it for you?

Share your Socitm training experience with us and other members. Fill in the short Q&A, just as Alexandra Murphy has this month.

What will your survey discover?

It takes time and effort to survey your ICT users, so why do it?
Gathering data about your ICT users, and how to do it, was the topic of yesterday’s weekly webinar.
Two of the key messages from it were time and thought. It’s take time and effort for you to prepare a survey, for people to complete it and then for you to analyse the date. But put that time and effort in, and you’ll get the best data from the best source – your users.

You can share that time and effort with a Socitm user satisfaction survey.

Watch the webinar and let us know if there’s something you want to clarify or if we can help further.
