Your events, training and resources

Now the repetition of my essential tips for membership makes even more sense. To better support you (and us) we’ve completed our own service redesign project.

Your membership account is now much more self-service than ever before.

This all went live yesterday, so do let us know what you think. A quick ‘how to’:

  1. Create your user account on socitm.net and then make sure your personal and organisation details are correct.
  2. The membership benefits list has been upgraded. You can see exactly what’s available but also what’s been used.
  3. Check if you have been assigned an Admin or Lead role. If you want to spend some training points, a colleague with a Lead role will be able to approve it.
  4. Apply directly for your innovation session and other benefits that are part of your organisational membership.

Add hello@socitm.gv-c.com to your Outlook safe senders list (I strongly encourage newsletter subscription as a handy summary of everything Socitm-related you need).

The end of February sees the first of our three national conference days in 2024. Join us in Sheffield as we reimagine your community through data, technology and service design.

I hope you can have a great weekend.

Best wishes,

Alex.

Reimagining communities and places

09.30 to 16.30 on Wednesday 28 February in Sheffield

A journey through data, technologies and service design

This week we considered whether mindset is more important than method in service design and transformation. Broadly we came down in favour of mindset over method. But that mindset will be tested even further this year with direction from DLUHC for a productivity plan.

This is on our list of things to discuss when we’re in Sheffield at the end of the month. Are you or one of your colleagues joining us?

National conference days are member-only events.
