Overview

In this session we will be taking a look at how councils can use mobile apps to empower local people to engage with council services while lessening the burden for local authority teams.

This case study session will focus on the successful implementation of the MyNotts app at Nottinghamshire County Council. The app allows users to engage more purposely within their community – staying on top of the latest news and events with the ‘What’s On’ feature or utilising the in-built survey functionality to give constituents a voice on local issues and allowing the public to report highways maintenance issues was also a top priority. Launching in early 2020, the app provided a key channel of communication during the coronavirus pandemic.

Residents can now make the most of council services wherever and whenever, effortlessly available in the palm of their hands.
