Overview

A free programme made in collaboration between Microsoft and Socitm.

Delegates will learn about a range of technology and gain an understanding of the key skills they need to support and lead change in their organisation. Those taking part in the Change Agent Manager programme will have the opportunity to learn from industry experts and staff from other local authorities, helping build communities of practice to collaborate.

Everyone who takes part in this programme will be focused on implementing change with technology across public services.

Benefits for the organisation

The programme:

  • is designed to work alongside existing change efforts, with some authorities planning to use this as their main catalyst for change
  • provides a foundation, even intermediate understanding, of a range of tools that authorities are deploying or already benefiting from, such as SharePoint, Teams, and the Power Platform – including Power BI. The work compliments your implementations, and your facilitators can localise the change
  • will add the most value if you have facilitators, managers, and end-users on the programme.

Committed evangelist for the much wider use of Office 365

As a non-technical person the course provided me with a superb overview of the capabilities, functionality and practical application of Office 365 and its apps. As a result, I am now going to be a committed evangelist for the much wider use of 365 functionality in my organisation. Excellent and highly recommended.

An introduction to a wealth of functionality

There was a lot of information crammed into this five-day Change Agents programme. It was a great opportunity and introduction to a wealth of functionality, that we can use to improve the way that we work. Best of all, I’m now part of the Change Agents community of practice so this is just the beginning of the journey.

A fascinating to step outside of my comfort zone

It’s been fascinating to step outside of my comfort zone and regular arena of work and see at first-hand how systems are discussed, created, changed & developed and ultimately get rolled out through large organisations.
