Overview

This is the first West Midlands Governance Mini Conference where we intend to bring together governance leads from across the public sector and region to collaborate, network and share best practice.

We invite all Caldicott’s, SIRO’s, DPO’s and those involved with data protection and information governance to join us for an insightful and informative event.

Hosted by the Black Country ICB and supported by Socitm west midlands, we are seeking to address DSPT compliance, technological advancements, Health and Social Care Integration and Data Protection by Design and by Default and you are invited to join us on this journey.

    In response to the need to provide timely, highly quality data that can be accessed throughout the whole patient pathway, whilst minimising the impact on providers, the aim of the Faster Data Flows Programme is to implement an automated daily collection of patient data and to provide modern data architecture to the NHS. In order to implement Faster Data Flows, the Programme Team has worked through an extensive information governance process and will be sharing their learning from the programme and providing an update on the upcoming national roll out of the Faster Data Flows pilot.

    Following the introduction of UK-GDPR there is a mandatory need to consider data protection by design; this is ultimately an approach that ensures you consider privacy and data protection issues at the beginning or the ‘design phase’ of any system, service, product or process and then throughout the lifecycle.

    This panel session provides you the opportunity for open questions around all aspects of Privacy By Design and Default with experts from Health and Social Care and beyond.
