Helping you understand emotional intelligence, why it’s important and what you can do to enhance it.
In this half-day course, you’ll hear and talk about some ideas to help you better understand what the components of EQ are and what you can do to enhance them.
You may know people who are intellectually gifted, who know their specialist subject inside out, yet struggle with their working relationships and make poor team players.
The ability to express and control emotions is essential for our health, wellbeing, and performance. Equally important is the ability to notice, understand, interpret, and respond to the emotions of others.
Think of someone who might not recognise that a friend’s feeling sad or that a co-worker is angry. Psychologists refer to this as an absence of emotional intelligence, and some experts suggest that it may be more important than IQ when determining success in life and work.
We’ll look at the most recent research, along with practical tips that we can all use to make us healthier, happier, and more effective at what we do.
