Nadira Hussain, CEO, Socitm

Socitm CEO Nadira Hussain will make us all welcome, run through the practical housekeeping, and share her thoughts on how we work together for the benefit of the society and all its members. She will also share some future ambitions for Socitm. 

Dave Sanderson, Director of Member Services

Membership director Dave Sanderson will show how a successful relationship between Socitm and Oxfordshire councils is proving beneficial to all organisations involved. He’ll also discuss who might be the best person to act as your lead member. 

Poppy Whelan, Head of Member Services, Socitm

Head of membership Poppy Whelan will give an overview of key benefits a Socitm membership provides and how to maximise them. This will include using free sector specific consultancy hours, supporting staff development through our Leadership Academy training and new features coming this year. 

Yogita Popat, assistant director of sustainability at London Borough of Barnet

Yogita will share her experiences of completing two of our Leadership Academy programmes; Top Talent and Empowering Women. Hear how these unique courses are tailored specifically for the sector and how the longer term benefits have helped Yogita in her career.

We’ll finish off the session with an opportunity for an open discussion on the issues which matter most.
