This will also make it easier and clearer for all of us (including members) to understand what we’re doing and why. And to find areas where we can collaborate to best effect.
What is this all about and why does it matter?
It’s all part of our work after being granted charitable status in February 2024.
Some of it’s been simple, such as change the from board members to trustees. As you can already see above.
Some of it’s been much deeper. And our research driven by Socitm members and the wider public sector takes time, thought and consideration.
What does this mean for you?
Moving to Policy Streams better aligns Socitm with other charities and local public sector organisations.
We hope that they’re also less rigid and easier for you and members to understand. It should also make our policy and research work more flexible and responsive.
It will start to make more sense…
In this meeting we’ll start with a quick run through the background before opening up a lively discussion.
Meet the trustees – you might not know all of them. Their experience and insights are essential for all of us.
