The South West faces rising demand and constrained capacity. Drawing on recent work with Suffolk and North East Essex (SNEE) ICS and Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust (TSDFT), Andy sets out long-term, whole-system opportunities to improve population health. He will spotlight breakthroughs in science, medicine and technology that make a reimagined model of health and care possible. 9. 13:25 Round Table - The role of Generative Relationships in tackling the Digital Health & Care Paradox: six years on from Topol

The 2019 Topol Review ‘Preparing the healthcare workforce to deliver the digital future’  made the case the approach for a digitally transformed Health system.  As a nationwide review it offers read across and insight for other public bodies, especially Local Authorities, and particularly in respect of integrated working through Social Care.  However, the 2024 report by Lord Ara Darzi recorded that the ‘NHS remains in the foothills of transformation’.  With Need, Demand, Supply and Evidence for digital benefits being clear, how is it that there has not been more accelerated uptake and scale? With this as a focus what are the constraints and enablers to Generative Relationships which enable us to overcome this digital paradox.
