Preston is an ambitious City with exciting plans. We want people to trust, value, and have pride in their city, and their Council. Our focus is on ensuring that Preston is a growing, vibrant city with a thriving, fair economy.

Our Digital Strategy underpins that vision and sets out our plans for moving the Council and city forward in the Digital Landscape.

We are focusing on digital inclusion through the Preston Digital Co-operative that will allow us to provide connectivity and devices to those who most need it.

As a digital council we are investing further in mobile / hybrid working solutions along with exploring AI, data warehousing, and the use of Power BI across the organisation.

As part of modernising our digital estate we have refreshed our visual surveillance equipment with a modern cloud-based solution and are working on a partnership with Lancashire Police to aid in their work.

The re-opening of the Harris Museum on 28th September after an almost 4-year refurbishment represents one of our biggest transformation projects in recent times with digital experiences throughout the building.
