Public sector WARPs

Each WARP brings together information security, assurance and governance practitioners on a regional, sub-regional or partnership basis. The groups meet to exchange views, listen to guest speakers, undertake training or exercises, and to share incident information.

All meetings are conducted on a Chatham House Rule basis, using a traffic light protocol when discussing threats and incidents.

The groups are built and operate on trust. Some WARPs meet jointly on occasion with their Socitm region, for instance in the East of England.

The Cyber Technical Advisory Group (C-TAG)

The C-TAG has UK-wide government and WARP representation. It reports into Socitm’s Nations and Regions Forum (NRF), supporting the cyber and information security theme. C-TAG works closely with the NCSC, LGA, Cabinet Office, MHCLG and the devolved administrations.
