Trend Micro and SBL announced as headline sponsors of Socitm President’s Conference
Socitm is proud to announce its partnership with headline sponsors Trend Micro and SBL, for the first-ever President’s Conference.
The two-day event, taking place on 8 and 9 May at the Hilton Glasgow hotel, will bring together IT and digital professionals from across the UK to explore how public services can be delivered more effectively, ethically and securely.
Experts from Trend Micro, a global leader in security software and solutions, and SBL, the leading public sector framework specialists focusing on cybersecurity, will join a host of technology thought leaders at the conference. As headline sponsors, Trend Micro and SBL will deliver a 20-minute presentation, host a dedicated breakout session and exhibit at the event.
The conference will feature an exciting range of well-informed speakers including: Martin Ferguson, director of policy and research at Socitm; Alexander Holt, head of the Scottish Government's CivTech programme; Bill Buchanan, lead for The Cyber Academy and Edinburgh Napier professor; and Dr Mariarosaria Taddeo, a research fellow at the Oxford Internet Institute, University of Oxford.
The agenda will feature lightning talks, panel discussions, interactive polling, supplier-led breakouts and case studies, training sessions, specialist workshops, and, of course, plenty of opportunities for networking and socialising.
Nicola Graham, Aberdeenshire Council’s head of ICT, will be inaugurated as Socitm president at the AGM during the conference.
Nigel Bragg, sales and marketing director at Socitm, said: “I’m delighted by Trend Micro and SBL’s enthusiasm and support for the President’s Conference.
