ShareDigital’19 – Thursday 7th March, National Conference Centre (NCC), Birmingham
This year, more than 50 local authorities are staging their own sessions on a wide-ranging array of pioneering digital initiatives.
Hosted by Socitm, this annual best practice exchange encourages attendees to link-up with their peers, learn from one another’s experiences and discuss the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.
Now in its fifth year, this national event moves to the Midlands for the first time and over 250 digital leaders at councils from across the UK are expected to participate.
In addition to all the roundtables and workshops, highlights of ShareDigital include: a keynote address by Chris Naylor, Chief Executive, at the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham; an update from MHCLG on the Local Digital Declaration; sessions on Digital Accessibility for compliance with the new EU Directive; and the launch of a Socitm backed local cyber resilience initiative.
Margot James MP, Minister of State at Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport will also be addressing the conference via video.
The day runs from 9.15am to 4.45pm, includes lunch and is held at the National Conference Centre (NCC), which is very close Birmingham International airport and train station.
To encourage teams to participate, all those booking places for ShareDigital’19 can register three delegates for the price of two. More details of the programme and online registration are at www.sharedigital.net
