Growing our own – what are the career paths?

Location – Ramside Hall Hotel, Durham 

Our meetings can be face-to-face (with refreshments provided) or virtual (bring your own refreshments) and will be focused on Socitm’s policy themes. Within these themed meetings your regional committee is free to create an agenda that works best for you and your regional colleagues.     Northumberland County Council have transformed the way they deal with customer engagement thanks to the AWS cloud-based Contact Centre “Amazon Connect”. The clunky, ageing, on-premise solution susceptible to cyber vulnerabilities has been replaced with a much more responsive solution allowing Northumberland the ability to rapidly adapt to demand as well as interrogate data to better inform the wider business how to provide a better service.

    Roundtable session – This session will focus on the challenges being faced within the sector, specifically on recruitment. We’ll have input from Councils and wider public sector organisations on the challenges they are facing and we’ll discuss their approaches to developing from within whilst addressing skills gap in the short, medium and long term.
