PDF accessibility myths

Overview

There are unique challenges faced in making PDFs accessible. Whilst those are partially distinct from the web standards, there is a commonality and cross-over when achieving the necessary standard of compliance with your documents to PDF/ UA (Universally Accessible) level. In fact, the WCAG and PDF/UA standards are complimentary and should equally be considered when making a document accessible.

We hope to help dispel the existing myths and prove how PDF accessibility has progressed to become a necessary part of achieving a comprehensive accessibility strategy.
