The Spring 2017 issue of In Our View, Socitm’s magazine for members, focuses on nudging – changing behaviour through small changes in communications and processes. Essex County Council CIO David Wilde and Tunbridge Wells Borough Council chief executive William Benson discuss how they use nudging to save money and persuade citizens and staff to do things differently.
Geoff Connell, who has just started his second year as Socitm’s president, writes about how nudging can be used in health and transport; while former presidents Glyn Evans and Jos Creese write respectively about digital work in Tel Aviv, which has adopted digital techniques for people and even dogs, and life as a freelance consultant.
