Socitm has been awarded CPD points for all training and development programmes offered by its Leadership Academy. From November 2019, all those enrolling on a course of continuing professional development with the academy will receive credits, helping to ensure they meet their personal and organisational CPD targets.
The academy currently offers three programmes: Empowering women, Top talent and Senior leaders. Each progamme has been accredited and, upon graduation, all cohorts will receive CPD points.
Socitm’s Leadership Academy delivers a series of programmes uniquely designed to harness, develop and promote talent in the public sector. Unique, inspirational and universally well-received, these programmes invest in individuals, empowering people to take risks confidently and challenge convention creatively. Developed in partnership with QA training they are designed to build confidence and centre on collaboration and sharing. CPD accreditation adds further value to the Leadership Academy offering, enabling participants to keep a CPD portfolio capturing what activities they’ve undertaken and how such learning has improved their professional capabilities and worth.
Nadira Hussain, Socitm director of leadership, development and research said: “It’s never been more important to attract, retain and develop people with passion, commitment, foresight. Through their vision, we can transform public services and deliver robust, customer-centric place-based outcomes for the communities we serve. Our Leadership Academy programmes are a powerful means of achieving this.
“Our programmes are pivotal in establishing a national network of confident, innovative leaders who appreciate fully the importance of celebrating and nurturing the talent and diversity among their teams. CPD accreditation is a recognised endorsement of the value of our programmes. It demonstrates clearly the benefits of continued professional development with Socitm and QA. Organisations can be assured that standards are high and consistent and employees are committed and engaged. It allows for the sharing of best practice, maximises staff potential and considerably improves morale among public sector teams.”
